Babe: Japas Fun Dining @ Clearwater, Damansara Heights
Can you keep a secret? Babe – one of 2015’s most anticipated new restaurants – has declared a launch date of Nov. 20, but the truth is, it’s already open for business. If you’d like to visit while this venue is still free of crowds (all the better for enjoying an untrammelled 11th-floor view of the city from Damansara Heights), reserve a table for Wednesday or Thursday this week.
Coming soon to KL: Babe by Michelin-starred chef Jeff Ramsey
For KLites who enjoy the finer side of life and constantly look to push their palates, and Instagram feed, get keen for this November as Babe is slated to up the bar in the local F&B scene.
If foodie debates tend to get a bit competitive with our neighbours, Babe may just be our answer as it makes its debut as Malaysia’s first ever restaurant by a Michelin-starred chef, Jeff Ramsey.
Japan-born American chef Jeff Ramsey is set to put KL on the map with the opening of Babe, touted as the country’s first restaurant by a Michelin-starred chef. Known for heading the Tapas Molecular Bar of Tokyo’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Ramsey’s Babe will be a ‘fun approach to modernist cuisine’ serving Japanese-accented tapas – or ‘japas’ as Ramsey calls it. The menu will feature over 60 dishes, with highlights including the truffled nori fries, charcoal grilled Alaskan crab, and World’s Juiciest Lambchop – an intriguingly named dish you’ll want to try on your visit.
