Main Ingredients
- 500 g Fish (mackerel or any firm fish)
- 2 tablespoon Tamarind paste
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 cm Ginger sliced
- 2 cups Water
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
- 5 Dried chilies soaked and blended
- 1 Tomato quartered
- 1 Onion sliced
- 1 stalk Lemongrass bruised
1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
2. Sauté garlic, ginger, and onion until fragrant.
3. Add blended dried chilies and cook until oil separates.
4. Add tamarind paste, water, lemongrass, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
5. Add fish and tomato. Simmer until fish is cooked through.
6. Serve hot with rice.
