Ingredients

  • 1 kg Pork Belly cut into 2-inch pieces
  • ½ cup Soy Sauce
  • ¼ cup Dark Soy Sauce
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 pieces Star Anise
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the pork belly pieces and sear until browned on all sides.
  2. 2. Add the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, garlic, star anise, and water to the pot. Stir to combine.
  3. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 90 minutes, or until the pork is tender.
  4. 4. Serve hot with steamed rice.
