Cucur Udang with Peanut Sauce Recipe (Prawn Fritters)

Fritters
- 200 g prawns, peeled and deveined
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- 500 ml oil for frying
Peanut Sauce
- 100 g roasted peanuts ground
- 2 tablespoon tamarind paste
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 2 red chilies chopped
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add water and beaten egg. Mix until smooth.
Fold in prawns, bean sprouts, and spring onions.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Scoop batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
For the peanut sauce, blend all sauce ingredients until smooth.
Serve fritters with peanut sauce.
