Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 inch Ginger, sliced
  • 1 onion Onion, chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the pot over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
  2. 2. Sauté the garlic, ginger, and onion until fragrant.
  3. 3. Add the beef chunks and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. 4. Pour in the dark soy sauce, sugar, and water. Stir well.
  5. 5. Add the cinnamon stick and bring to a boil.
  6. 6. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
  7. 7. Serve hot with rice or bread.
