Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Patin fish cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 200 grams Tempoyak (fermented durian)
  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 piece Turmeric leaf torn into pieces
  • 2 pieces Red chili sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

Instructions 

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the tempoyak and stir-fry for a few minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the patin fish pieces, turmeric leaf, and red chili. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and sugar to taste. Continue to simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice.
