Main Ingredients
- 1 whole fish about 500g, cleaned and scaled
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 inch ginger sliced
- 1 red chili sliced
- 1 green chili sliced
- 1 yellow chili sliced
- 1 tomato diced
- 2 tablespoons tamarind juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish until golden brown. Set aside.
In the same pan, sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
Add red, green, and yellow chilies. Stir well.
Add diced tomato, tamarind juice, soy sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
Add some water and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
Season with salt to taste.
Pour the sauce over the fried fish and serve hot.
