Nasi Ayam Hainan Bakar Recipe (Grilled Hainanese Chicken Rice)
A delicious grilled version of the classic Hainanese Chicken Rice.

Chicken
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
Rice
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Sauce
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Marinate chicken for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roast chicken for 40 minutes or until cooked through.
Rinse rice until water runs clear. Sauté garlic and ginger in oil, add rice and stir for 2 minutes. Add chicken broth, bring to boil, then simmer until cooked.
Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl.
Serve chicken over rice, drizzle with sauce.
