Ingredients 

Fried Rice

  • 2 cups Cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper

Gravy

  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Add garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  2. Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add cooked rice, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry until well mixed and heated through. Set aside.
  4. For the gravy, heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  5. Add chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add cornstarch mixture and stir until the gravy thickens.
  7. Pour the gravy over the fried rice and serve hot.
