Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Fried shallots (for garnish)

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and chili. Sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Push the chicken to one side of the pan. Crack the eggs into the empty side and scramble.
  4. Add cooked rice, soy sauce, and kecap manis. Stir well to combine.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garnish with green onions and fried shallots before serving.
