Main Ingredients
- 500 g mutton, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoon mamak curry powder
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 3 pods cardamom
- 4 cloves cloves
- 1 star star anise
- 1 liter water
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
Add mutton pieces and cook until browned.
Stir in mamak curry powder, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and star anise. Cook for a few minutes.
Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours or until mutton is tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
