Hi there!
Thanks for swinging by. This space is all about making sure everyone feels respected. We love sharing recipes, flavors, and food magic, but that doesn’t mean anyone should have to worry about their work being used unfairly. If you’re here because something feels off, we’ve got a friendly yet clear process ready for you.
What’s This Page All About?
Short version: copyright. Long version: sometimes content gets used without permission. That’s where the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) comes in. We follow it because we respect original creators. This page walks through how we handle copyright notices, what to do if something of yours is here that shouldn’t be, and how we’ll respond if we hear from you.
Where To Reach Us
Anything DMCA-related should land in our inbox at dmca@babe.com.my. Only copyright takedown stuff goes there. For general chats, recipe ideas, or cake photos, stick to our usual email.
Let’s Talk About Copyright
If you created something, photos, words, videos, graphics, you hold the copyright. That means nobody should repost, reuse, remix or reprint without asking you. We completely support that. That’s how we want people to treat us, too.
On babe.com.my, we use original content or stuff we’re allowed to use. If we mess up, we want to fix it fast.
Spotted Something That’s Yours?
Caught a recipe that’s word-for-word yours? See a photo you snapped? If something we’ve published feels like a copy of your original work, here’s how to let us know. There’s a checklist below with all the info we need to take a real look. Once it’s all there, we’ll get on it right away.
Your DMCA Notice Must Include:
- Full name and contact details (email, phone, address—you get it).
- A clear description of the content you believe is yours.
- The exact page URL on our site where the material lives.
- A short note explaining why you believe this is your copyrighted work.
- A statement, in your own words, that you believe this use is unauthorized.
- Another statement swearing that the info you’re giving us is accurate, and you’re either the copyright owner or allowed to act for them.
- A digital or physical signature from you (yep, even typing your name works).
What Happens After You Email Us
We read it. Every piece. Our first step is verifying the details. If we agree that your copyright’s been crossed, the material comes down. If we’re not totally sure, we may reach out and ask some questions. We take this seriously, but we’re also humans. A kind tone always helps.
If your request doesn’t include all the needed bits, we’ll reply asking for more. Missing pieces mean we can’t act on it yet. Once it’s complete, we do what’s right.
Counter Notifications—For The Other Side Of Things
So, let’s say we took your content down because someone flagged it. But you believe you had the right to post it. There’s a system for that too. You can send us a counter notice. That’s basically saying, “Hey, I think this was a mistake.”
Your counter notice needs to include:
- Your details again (name, email, address, phone).
- The exact link to what was taken down.
- A short statement about why you believe you were allowed to share it.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good reason for thinking it was removed wrongly.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of a Malaysian court, in case this goes further.
- Your signature (typed or handwritten).
We pass this along to the person who made the complaint. If they don’t file a legal claim in 10 days, we might repost your content.
False Notices Or Claims—Not Cool
Faking a DMCA notice or trying to take down content that isn’t yours is a no-go. Misuse of this system is serious. That includes pretending to own something, exaggerating claims, or filing complaints just to stir drama. We want to protect creators—not give tools to trolls.
Use Of Content On BABE.COM.MY
Everything here is either ours or used with permission. Photos, recipes, graphics, you name it. If something slips through that shouldn't be here, we’ll fix it.
We also don’t allow scraping, reposting or reproducing our content without asking first. Linking? Sure. Sharing a link to our post on your socials? Please do. Copy-pasting a full recipe or photo? No thanks.
How We Handle Complaints
Once a valid DMCA takedown request lands in our inbox, we review it within 2–3 business days. If it checks out, the content comes down. Then we let both parties know.
We won’t always remove content without checking the details first. Context matters. Some stuff might fall under fair use. Some might already have permission behind it. Either way, we’ll review before acting.
Repeat Offenders
If someone keeps uploading stuff that gets flagged, we take action. Multiple valid complaints tied to one contributor? That account could be restricted, or even removed completely. Our site is for sharing love through food—not copyright chaos.
We’re Not Lawyers
Nothing here counts as legal advice. We’re food folks, not attorneys. For serious cases, you might want to talk to someone with a law degree. Our goal is to keep things clear, fair, and friendly.
Transparency
We may share DMCA notices with organizations that track online copyright cases. That helps stop bad behavior across the internet. Personal contact info stays private.
Want To Use Our Content?
Ask first. We love collaboration, and we’re always open to chatting. Just send an email to our general inbox (not the DMCA one) and tell us what you’re thinking.
What If Someone Copied Us?
Spot our recipes or photos somewhere they shouldn’t be? Let us know. We’ll handle it with care. Our work takes time, testing, and tastebuds. We stand by it and want to protect it.
We’re All About Respect
Babe.com.my is built on trust. That means trusting each other to do the right thing. Whether you’re sending us a takedown notice or asking to repost our curry puff photos, mutual respect goes a long way.
